Zoho Books is a cloud accounting solution that does nearly everything the other popular brands do, but at a much lower price. In the past few years, Zoho Books has made significant progress and is now one of the top players for small to mid sized businesses. The only downside we currently see is not having an integrated, which is coming soon. We recommend Zoho Books to almost every business since it is not only a great product, they offer over 40 other GREAT applications at unbelievably low prices that can run your entire business. In our opinion, Wave is the top free cloud accounting software.  You will be able to connect unlimited bank and credit card accounts, add unlimited income and expense tracking, invoice and scan receipts for managing expenses.


You can also give your clients and customers the option of paying invoices online via credit cards and by ACH. However, Wave charges 2.9% + $0.30 for each credit card transaction and 1% for each ACH payment. You can add payroll for your employees, however, there is a monthly base fee, plus $4 per employee and contractors.

ZipBooks is also a strong accounting software for small businesses. You will find features such as reports, bank syncing, billing, expense management, and invoicing. You can also tag any transaction with a customer, project, location, or other custom tag, then generate an accounting report based on the tags. Like Wave, you can process online payments to your invoiced customers Square or PayPal. Standard rates apply.

Freshbooks is another cloud accounting solution that caters to small businesses. FreshBooks includes invoicing, expense tracking, time tracking, reporting, and payments. With payroll, and payroll taxes integrated with accounting,  you will find this solution affordable and very easy to manage..
